The Labour Inspectorate is a reliable and dignified government agency operating under the Ministry of Social Affairs. The main tasks of the Estonian Labour Inspectorate are to implement work environment policy, state supervision in the work environment over compliance of the requirements of legislation regulating occupational health and safety and labour relations, to provide information to the general public, workers and employers of risks and hazards in the work environment and settlement of individual labour disputes in extra-judicial labour dispute resolution body.
