Labour Act, Section 116 (Sick Leave and Sick Pay)

Under section 116 of the Labour Act, every worker except a newspaper worker is entitled to sick leave with full wages for 14 days in a calendar year. A newspaper worker is entitled to sick leave with half wages for a minimum of one-eighteenth of the period of his or her service.
