Social Security Act

The SSS was set up under the Social Security Act B.E. 2533 (1990) to provide social insurance for private employees in firms with 20 or more workers. The SSS was started in March 1991, by providing four types of benefits – sickness, invalidity, maternity and death- for employees of enterprises with 20 or more workers.
