Working Hours Act, 2019 (Finland)

Working Hours Act, 2019

The Working Hours Act allows the employer and the employee to agree on a flexible work arrangement, regardless of any applicable collective agreement’s provisions. The arrangement requires the time and place of the work to be at the employee’s discretion during at least 50% of the employee’s working time. Regular working hours should average out to 40 weekly hours in a four-month reference period. The arrangement is intended for specialist work where specific goals and overall timetables are more important than working during specific hours.
