The main efforts of the Ministry’s leadership are to ensure the compliance of public administration revenues and expenditures with the macroeconomic and strategic goals of the government’s policies, monitoring their effective use, fiscal consolidation and long-term sustainability of public finances within the eurozone, compliance with the rules in handling public resources, effective implementation of EU financial instruments and other foreign aid in compliance with the principles of sound financial management, reducing the tax burden on low and middle income groups, reducing tax and customs evasion and suppressing the gray economy.
